Service center
Each
INS Service Center issues Process Time Reports on a periodic
basis. These reports reflect approximate processing times
for various petitions and applications as reported by each
INS Service Center.
Processing times are sometimes inaccurate and backlogs are
subject to constant change. INS does not always follow the
convention of "first in, first out" and petitions/applications
filed the same day may experience widely discrepant adjudication
timeframes.
The dates that appear on the reports are those of petitions
and applications that are currently being processed. It is
not the date of the most recently approved petition. For example,
if the date for a petition is 8/6/98, this means that the
INS is currently pulling applications filed on 8/6/98 from
their shelves. Once a file is pulled from the shelf, it generally
takes an additional (30) thirty days for the adjudication
of the petition.
Ahluwalia law office takes every possible step to ensure timely
adjudication of all petitions and applications. |
